April 29th 2008 Victor Needs a Home - Maysville, NCVictor was curled up in a depressed little ball when we first met him. He couldn't see very much (he has excessive pigmentation in both eyes), his dewclaws (since removed) were growing into his legs, and he was so thin, a child could fit two hands around his waist. Poor Victor definately needed a little help. Looking back only weeks, it's hard to believe this is the same dog. He's spunky and affectionate, and he gets around quite well considering he has perhaps 20% of the vision of a normal dog. He's also gained his weight back, since he has a phenomenal appetite. Victor has been neutered. He's heartworm negative and on heartworm preventative, and has been updated on his vaccines. He gets along fabulously with other dogs and with cats, but has a mild preference for the ladies over men. Interested in meeting Victor? April 29th 2008 Lucy Needs a Home - Waverly, OHLucy, picked up as a stray, was pulled from an Ohio kill shelter because of no more room, was in danger of being put down. Lucy is a gorgeous red girl with white on her muzzel, chest and feet, the shelter said she was 6 years of age but our Vet feels she is closer to 8. She arrived with seborrhea and severe flea allergy dermatitis on her entire back end and rear legs. She has vision loss in her right eye due to pigmentary keratitis. When she was completely vetted, she weighed 13 pounds. Lucy has all her shots, DHLPP, 3 year Rabies, Bordetella, she has been wormed, tested heartworm negative, spayed and treated for her skin condition. Lucy has an absolutely wonderful loving personality. She loves people, other dogs, going for walks and is completely housebroken. Lucy would love to be adopted into a family with another Pekingese. Bing is a neutered male, about 8 yrs old and weighs about 10 lbs.

His owners gave him to Pekes and Pals when they could not take him on a journey.
He has allergies to some things, but we are trying to eliminate the things that make him itch.
Once his skin recovers from the allergies, he will have a lovely coat that will need proper care and grooming.
He also has dry eyes and needs drops/ointment in them to keep his vision at its current level.
Bing does have a bit of an attitude with other dogs at times as he wants ALL the attention.
He would love to have a family to dote on him.
