Amherst County Humane SocietyBlind Dog Needs a Home, Amherst, VA
Ray Ray is a 5 year old boy who was found alone in a field with nothing but a collar and chain on. Click on the picture to see for more photo's. Animal Control took him directly to the vet to be examined. Ray Ray is completely blind and the vets are assuming he was born that way. He is very sweet and although he is very confused being in a shelter where everything smells different than what he is used to, he is adjusting very well and taking it in his stride. He has a VERY SWEET AND GENTLE DISPOSITION, SO EASY GOING! He is now neutered and up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. It breaks your heart to see a blind dog chained to something with no way to defend his self. Our vet removed two growths from Ray Ray's back and side at no charge since he was very taken by how sweet Ray Ray is and desperately wants him to find a home. Ray Ray has a strong heart, clear lungs and no lymphnode issues. PLEASE HELP THIS DEFENSELESS KIND HEARTED DOG!
