MAISIE - Labrador cross?, female, 10 months approx, medium size.
| Maisie has a congenital portosystemic shunt commonly called a liver shunt where blood flow bypasses the liver so that toxins in the blood are not filtered out by the liver. Click here for more information about liver shunts. Due to this condition Maisie is not expected to live more than about 6 years. She needs a controlled low protein diet and medicine, so whoever takes Maisie on will have to be really special. I want her to have the best life she can have and to be with someone who can do this and cope. Maisie requires three small meals a day with medication. I am paying £27 for a 5kg bag and about £1 a tin of low protein food so Maisie is not going to be cheap to run.
